LISBON DESIGN WEEK 2025
At Lisbon Design Week 2025, Craft Gardens presented "Suspended Gardens" within the exhibition “O Ecoar da Matéria-Prima”, curated by Wesley Sacardi at the Roca Lisboa Gallery.
This immersive installation reveals a series of suspended textile chandeliers, handcrafted from ECONYL® regenerated yarn — transforming plastic waste and abandoned fishing nets into luminous, sculptural gardens that inhabit space with lightness, intention and meaning.

A SENSORY ODE TO REGENERATION.
“Suspended Gardens” is a sculptural series of textile chandeliers conceived as a poetic translation of nature’s regenerative cycles. Inspired by the rhythm of the seasons, each piece is built thread by thread, embodying the transformation of matter and the continuous rebirth of the natural world.
Floating in space, these luminous structures capture light and movement with delicacy and intention. Tassels become botanical elements. Fibre becomes atmosphere. Light becomes presence. What emerges is not decoration, but an experience — where material, space and perception converge.
IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Distributed throughout the gallery, the collection guides visitors through an immersive and synaesthetic narrative. The suspended forms create a journey of perception: shifting perspectives, filtered light and subtle chromatic movement invite the body to slow down and inhabit the work.
Rather than being observed from a distance, the installation is experienced from within. The visitor becomes part of the landscape — moving through layers of fibre, light and air.
